ABOUT Us
Our Story↓
Only Landcruisers is a Gold Coast based family run business. By Jordan and myself, Jackson . Growing up watching our dad being into cars and bikes, it was inevitable we would go down the same path. Between the both of us I’d hate to think how many cars we have had over the years, and what started out as a passion has turned into a business after people kept asking us to build cars for them. I started doing 1HDFTE conversions back in 2012, when you could pickup a whole 1HDFTE engine and gearbox for $5000, those were the days!! Over the years I did a heap of 1HDFTE conversions on cars and sold them on as a bit of a hobby, which quickly turned into people asking me to convert their cars. I was busy with work so Jordan helped me and we got a few of these out the door. We probably did about 5 or 6 cars a year over this time, then all of a sudden it went crazy and there was more than enough demand for Jordan to go at it fulltime and that’s how Only Landcruisers started.
Fast forward to now and its gone from a hobby in our backyard sheds, to a shop front in Burleigh Heads. Where we not only do 1HDFTE conversions, we also do performance builds, fit suspension, do custom work, general maintenance and anything else car related. We love working on the cars we like ourselves, which is 4wd’s and American trucks.
Below is a few photos of our personal cars we’ve built over the years.
The first 1HDFTE car I owned and my introduction to 1HDFTE’s in 2012 I bought this 100 sahara, the IFS suspension annoyed me and is the whole reason I looked down the engine swap route.
Good old 75 series troopy that started life as a 1HZ, I swapped a 1HDT into it in 2011.
One of Jordans many 80 series, this started life as a 3FE 80 sahara, he swapped a 1HDT and manual into it in about 2014.
The very first 1HDFTEswap I ever did.
In 2012 I bought this extended chassis 1HZ manual ute, and I converted it to a 1HDFTE and 5 speed auto with sahara interior.
Back before I even had a shed, had to do everything outside on the gravel.
Believe it or not, this is actually an import 1995 prado, we grafted a VDJ79 series front and bulbar on it. These things are coil all round and with a 1KZTE, went pretty good too.
I thought it was a good idea to get a 200, all this did was reinforce to me, that the 1HDFTE was the best thing Toyota ever made..
Another one of Jordan's sprung over, 1HDT swapped 60 series.
One of Jordan's HDJ 80saharas. This one had a blown engine when he bought it.
A 400hp 1HDFTE swapped 105 single cab ute Jordan built, unfortunately this one didn’t last long, on its maiden voyage we crashed it.
The first American truck I owned, big 7.3 F250 in 2017. Jordan ended up buying this from me and doing a heap of performance work to it.
This dual cab 70 series, is actually a HDJ79 chassis, with an import prado wagon body, a VDJ front clip, coil rear conversion, and 1HDFTE engine.
Jordan and his 250hp 1HDFT powered HDJ80 sahara, this started life as a 3FE petrol.
3 x extended chassis 105’s with 1HDFTE swaps all built in my backyard shed.
My chopped 105 ute, this had a sahara body swap, 400hp Built 1HDFTE, manual swap, 450mm chassis extension and heaps of other goodies.
Another one of my 80 series, bought this with a blown petrol motor, did a diesel swap, suspension, bar work, paint, and a bit of a touring fit out.
On the weekend we are either out on the tracks, or in the shed working on something!!
